Which Ford Focus radios are covered
Most Ford Focus radios with a code – the 4500 / 5000 RDS units, the 6000 CD and the Sony CD radios fitted to the Focus Mk1 and Mk2 – have a serial that starts with M or V followed by 6 digits. Later Focus models with a touchscreen (SYNC) do not ask for this kind of code. Type the full serial in the box above – we recognise whether it is an M or a V serial and show the code. Longer labels such as FDC2005M123456 or SOCD6X7V123456 (Sony) can be typed as printed – the M or V part is picked out automatically.
How to enter the code on a Ford Focus
- Switch the radio on – the display shows CODE (or KEYCODE).
- Press preset button 1 until the first digit is right, button 2 for the second, 3 for the third and 4 for the fourth.
- Confirm by holding button 5 (on some radios: the OK button or a long press on 4).
For more detail see how to enter a radio code. Other Ford radios (Travelpilot, FMS, L and C series) are on the Ford radio code page.
